The promotion of joint investments and the projects being implemented with the UAE have been reviewed.

Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov has held a meeting with the delegation led by Saeed Al Hajeri, the Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Co-Chairman of the Cooperation Committee on the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Azerbaijan and the UAE.

During the meeting, the successful development of the friendly relations and strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates was highlighted. It was noted that the high-level political dialogue creates a favorable foundation for deepening the economic cooperation, increasing mutual investments and expanding the partnership across new areas.

The parties exchanged views on the activity of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic, Trade and Technical Cooperation between Azerbaijan and the UAE, the dynamic development of the business relations and the cooperation between the business communities of both countries, as wll as the promotion of joint investments. It was emphasized that the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement signed between the two countries will contribute to deepening the trade and investment collaboration.

Additionally, opportunities to strengthen the cooperation in industry, energy, transport, logistics, tourism and other areas were discussed. The parties highlighted that there are wide prospects for the partnership specifically in renewable energy, mining, real estate, modern infrastructure, the development of transit potential, and agriculture.
