The strategic development priorities of the economic partnership between Azerbaijan and the U.S., as well as matters regarding the expansion of trade and investment ties, have been discussed.

Within the framework of the "Baku Energy Week," Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov has met with Caleb Orr, the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Economic, Energy, and Business Affairs.

During the meeting, the sides reviewed the strategic development priorities of the economic partnership between Azerbaijan and the U.S., the expansion of trade and investment relations, and cooperation opportunities in energy, industry, artificial intelligence, digitalization, critical minerals, mining, and other sectors.

The important role of strengthening regional connectivity in terms of boosting economic activity was highlighted during the meeting. Attention was drawn to the potential for cooperation toward consolidating Azerbaijan's position as a reliable platform connecting the regions of Europe, Central Asia, the South Caucasus, and the Middle East.

The parties emphasized the importance of diversifying economic cooperation, implementing innovative technologies, and strengthening ties between the private sectors. Concurrently, views were exchanged on the prospects of joint activities in areas of mutual interest.
